I love pretty grocery stores and Whole Foods is definitely one of them.
But besides being pretty there are a lot of things going on at their locations. Juice and smoothie bars, coffee bars, hot and cold food bars, and loads of olive and cheese options. It’s like a playground for foodies.
Just think of the amazing charcuterie platter you can make after a trip to Whole Foods! Try selecting meat and poultry options that can be prepared and packaged to your specifications. Just remember to ask for what you need; my experience has been positive when asking for certain specifications.
For your convenience, I’ve added shopping links to this post.
Without further adieu, here are my top finds at Whole Foods in November:
I am a major burger junkie! I always keep a package of their turkey burgers in my freezer for those moments of unhinged craving.
Pacific Foods – Broth & Almond Milk
When I don’t have the time to make my own broth, I keep a few packs of this brand in my pantry. Remember, it is soup season.
Their almond milk is fantastic in coffee or in this go-to fall breakfast: oats, apples, and cinnamon all warmed together on the stove top. Delicious! (PS. For the best version of this dish, try honey crisp apples. It has all the crispy, tart, and smooth qualities that I just love in an apple.)
There are a few things in this product line that I use regularly. Olive Oil, Olive Oil Spray, Coconut Oil and Apple Cider Vinegar. I appreciate the quality.
My Russ is a chocolate milk guy! We have this in our house regularly. They have other dairy options as well and it’s worth checking out their delivery areas, as that may be an option that suits you. Plus, the glass bottles are recyclable.
Their Peanut Butter Crackers are organic and non-GMO. Just note that these crackers do not last long in the pantry. Their Green Mojo Tortilla chips have made it into my shopping cart as well. They do not ship directly to Canada; get them at Whole Foods or online here.
Almond Butter
After a bit of research, I found out that this brand has no website or social media presence. That’s wild because everybody should know about this creamy, satisfying nut butter. Still, they have a fascinating story. Read about it here.
These are fantastic brown rice cakes. I really like how thin they are. I recommend almond butter on these–oh, and thinly sliced apple too!
Progressive Organics has a variety of products and the one I am concentrating on this Fall is VegeGreens. It’s a powder that I add into my smoothies to keep up my intake of micronutrients despite the diminishing supply of fresh greens at this time of year. Keeping my immunity up is important!
I love their Apple Butter. I mix this with chopped up apples, cinnamon, and sometimes pureed pumpkin with a sprinkle of chia seeds or walnuts. You can order in bulk from Eden with this link or you can order here to get single products.
This is a wonderful non-toxic cleaner. My favourite smell is the Rosemary & Lime.
BIG LOVE!!
