5 Things on my Wish List

I make lists for everything, whether its for groceries, planning a party, travel necessities or my ’to do’s’ (which I lovingly refer to as my ‘accomplishment list’). When I see a product or a service, I naturally make a list.

Here are 5 things I am looking at this Black Friday;

Kindle Paperwhite

This is a new Paperwhite and its on my wish list.  Here’s why; I took a paperback with my on our trip to Portugal, I finished it in 3 days and since I don’t Portugese I had nothing to read!  I wished I had a Kindle then I could have just downloaded a new book.  Its waterproof, glare free, flush bezel, battery lasts days and has 2x more storage.

Jiffy Steamer

I’ve been steaming my clothes for years.  I am done with the ironing board. I found this stand up steamer and its on my wish list.  What I like about this steamer is it’s an all in one unit, fast heat up and a large water tank. Hang your clothes on a hanger and steam away.

Breville Milk Frother

Warm milk all frothy and creamy.  Yes, please! I have this frother on my wish list as I like to make my own Cappucino’s and Lattes at home; for myself and guest.  This Breville ticks all the boxes – safety shut off and multi functional.  Oh and did I mention it makes hot chocolate too?

Anova Sous Vide

This type of cooking is getting more popular with home cooks.  Precision cooking at its finest. I’ve had steak cooked sous vide before and now it’s something I’d like in my own kitchen.  No more overcooking. I will ‘finish’ my steak for with a quick grill.

Vitamix

My vitamix has been a great kitchen companion for years!  Hands down the best blender you will ever own. I use this machine almost everyday.  It’s very powerful – it works as a food processor, a smoothie maker and it makes hot soup too!

Are you are wondering why I have it on my favourites list?  Its because I need a new jug – I melted the corner of mine by putting it on the stove top when an element way still hot.  Oops!

    I love reading your blog Karen! In this world of hurry up and catch up, we can set unrealistic standards for ourselves based on what others “feel” we should be living up too. It’s hard to adjust to our own timing and not someone else’s!
    Menopause is a very ugly step sister that no matter what, we can’t leave in a closet by herself! IT’S BRUTAL!! I think the thing I hate the most is feeling like I’m losing my mind. Simple things I can’t remember and I’m not as sharp minded as I once was. Making me feel less intelligent! Particularly tough at work! Some days wonder if I’m still qualified to do my job!!! Aaaaggghhhhh thank you girl for your words!
    Love ya
